Fall Migration Workshop
Sept Week 1-2 2025 (dates by request)
Cost: $400 for one session (discount for 2 people)
What's included with the session(s):
Workshops begin at dawn and last through the mid-morning (2 to 3 hours minimum) and I tailor locations to need.
After the shoot, I also offer editing advice on 2 pictures shot that day.
Join Scott Keys for an immersive photography workshop set against the stunning backdrop of the eastern Pennsylvania mountains during peak fall bird migration. Capture breathtaking images of raptors, songbirds, and other migratory species as they pass through vibrant autumn foliage. This hands-on experience offers field sessions, and tips on bird behavior and composition, tailored for photographers of novice to intermediate level.
I do this in quiet settings, away from groups. My workshops are not "point and shoot" offerings. I work one-on-one with clients on both birding behavior as well as photography techniques to improve their images.
Travel:
Transportation to the location is not included, meeting spot in Lehigh County, PA will be provided 3 days before workshop.
Food and lodging are not included.
Species:
Variety is what migration is all about. While we will never be able to predict he birds, it is not uncommon to see 4-8 different warbler species in a morning session.
Physical activity:
This workshop included moderate activity, as destinations will likely include 0.5 mile hike in the mountains.
Gear:
DSRL or mirrorless camera with 300-600mm lens.
Appropriate attire for hiking as well as waterproof clothing.
Waivers must be signed a week before the workshop
